AKF Competition Pack

This protective gear pack is specifically designed and produced for WKF (World Karate Federation) and is required for State, National and International training. Each item is manufactured to specific competition standards. Hence the reason why they are more expensive than the clubs 'standard' protective gear pack. Members who do not intend on going into competitions are not required to purchase this pack.

Members who intend on doing Competition Training are required to have this protective gear pack especially when starting competition karate as there are many exercises that require repetitive blocking and attacking that the protective gear will minimise the amount of contact and injury that the student may in occur while doing competitive training.

This 'Competition Pack' consists of: Shin and instep protectors, two sets of punching mitts - you are required to have both Red and Blue mitts and both red and blue instep covers. It includes the AKF approved body armour and head protector. All of these are required for children up to 15 years old.
