7 Reasons why you should be doing Karate as a Mature Adult

Why not do a exercise that is challenging, stimulating, and very social? A sport that will keep you physically and mentally sharp for many years to come?

Karate, contreary to most peoples beliefs, is one of the best exercises for mature aged adults. Why? Because Karate challenges you to move faster rather than slow.

The Senior classes are designed to develop the student’s strengths.

They cover overall body strength, balance, co-ordination, flexibility, agility, focus, attitude, listening skills, good manners (dojo etiquette), awareness of others and social skills (interacting with others).

The student is required to think a lot more about everything they are required to do. There is usually quite a noticeable skill increase in the adult student as they tend to learn a little more quickly than the juniors.

These shotokan karate courses cover the more serious applications of techniques, scenarios, pressure points, role modelling, personal standards, ethics, smart thinking, and much more challenging exercises depending on the individual.
